I’m constantly needing to run to the store to grab herbs last minute, so why not solve that problem by growing my very own herb garden. Complete with cilantro, basil & parsley. Thinking green on this beautiful sunny day.
Big thanks to Pinterest for teaching me how to break a wine bottle. DIY Sunday - doesn’t get any better than this.
One of my favorite lettering artists, Erik Marinovich was recently featured on The Great Discontent. Erik is a freelancer and co-founder of Title Case along with one of my other favorite designers, Jessica Hische. He also co-founded Friends of Type, an amazing site showcasing hand lettering. Check out his interview with TGD here.
“I’ve always taken risks because I’m convinced that without them, I’ll never feel a sense of accomplishment. “

I’m finally posting a few of my favorite designs from my Skillshare class, Logo Design: Brand Your Hometown - sorry for the delay! There were so many awesome designs that made this a tough choice. Featured (in this order) are designs from Andrew Martis, Alyssa Moulton, Melinda Rowekamp and Jane Bruner. This class was an awesome learning experience - and good news! You can still sign up for it! You won’t be getting the same feedback and conversation as when the class originally posted but you will have access to all of the resources, lectures and the class syllabus. I’ll be checking in from time to time as well. Enjoy!

Happy V-Day from me to you! Keep making.
Have you seen the newest work from Sagmeister & Walsh? Wow. Their work never ceases to amaze me. I absolutely love handmade type (especially when tangible) and these are some incredible examples of just that. A fun, bold approach to an advertising campaign for the department store, Aizone.
